Perception

Energy flow

In the language of the model, “energy” denotes what the person perceives as flowing or as halting. It is a description of experience, not a measured physical quantity.

Blockage and flow

The work distinguishes points where sensation breaks off from points where it continues, and observes what happens to perception as a whole when a passage opens.

Fluidity

Fluidity is the outcome the practice describes: a continuity of sensation through the body and a lesser fragmentation of attention.

The nature of this work

What is set out in this area is an anthropological and experiential model developed by Gaspare Russo. It is not presented as clinically demonstrated neuroscience.

Where relevant scientific studies exist, they are cited as such; where a statement is still hypothetical, the page says so.
