Short biography
Gaspare Russo was born in Syracuse in 1978 and lives between Sicily and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Author and film director, independent researcher in archaeoastronomy, teacher. Founder of Associazione Arco di Diana APS and of Circolo del Sentire – Accademia di Intelligenza Sensoriale. ORCID 0009-0005-3198-9346.
He is creator, founder and project director of all three applications: AntikytheraMechanism.app, ArcheoMap and ResetOculare.app. ArcheoMap is signed Gaspare Russo · archeomap.app.
Extended biography
He began with comedy writing, writing material for stand-up performers of the Zelig circuit. In 2015 he co-directed the short film «Canile» with Massimiliano D’Agostino, produced by Schicchera Production: five awards and seventeen festivals and programmes in Italy, Albania, Kosovo, Lebanon, Tunisia and France, including the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2020 «Il pozzo dei desideri» was published by Edizioni Il Papavero.
Alongside this he worked as a trainer and educator in secondary schools and in Rebibbia prison, Rome. That work with people led to Circolo del Sentire – Accademia di Intelligenza Sensoriale: a method of sensory awareness whose operational tools are Ocular Reset and Sensory Reprogramming, and whose declared theoretical frame is the Vital Electron Theory.
His archaeoastronomical research concerns the stellar alignments of prehistoric sites in the Mediterranean: «The Celestial Dog», the light of the Pillirina, Nemi and Celestial Syracuse. In September 2026 the work was presented at SEAC XXXIII, the conference of the Société Européenne pour l’Astronomie dans la Culture, at the University of Thessaly in Volos.
On the digital side he builds three applications: ArcheoMap, an open platform for mapping and documenting archaeological sites; AntikytheraMechanism.app, a calculating digital reconstruction of the Antikythera Mechanism; and ResetOculare.app, the guided path of the Ocular Reset, the eye-movement technique that triggers the relaxation of REM sleep while awake.
